Last week I gave you some tips for quickly shifting your energy, to get into a higher place. While these things can alter your mindset for a short time, it is important to go much deeper, to actually create real, long-term change.

There are a couple of techniques that you can do yourself, so you are able to start really feeling a shift deep within.

The first modality is called “Emotional Freedom Technique” (EFT) or tapping. When tapping on different parts of the body, it helps to balance energy and reduce physical and emotional pain.

As it is with acupuncture and acupressure, tapping involves the body’s energy meridian points, which are a concept in Chinese medicine. Proponents believe them to be areas of the body through which energy flows.

The great thing about tapping is it is so simple, even a child can do it.

The picture to the left shows you the areas that you can tap. Feel free to tap on different areas between each statement, which I will explain next.

One of the basics of EFT is called the set up statement. How you construct that statement is very important. For instance, “Even though I have this issue or problem (name the problem), I’m working on deeply and completely loving and accepting myself.”

By saying “I’m working on deeply and completely loving and accepting myself,” You are making a statement your unconscious will know you’re working towards. This will help EFT to be as effective as possible.

Continue tapping on the different points and working through the issue, using statements that get to the root of what is going on. Also, note if there is a change in the intensity of the hurt associated with this issue. Measure it on a scale of 1 to 10.

Make note of any changes in your awareness, thinking or in your physical body. Are there any signs of release such as sighing, yawning, warmth, tingling or relaxation?

The next modality you can use is self-hypnosis. Self-hypnosis enables you to move in and out of various states of consciousness and is used to enhance or lessen certain patterns of thinking, feeling, behaving or believing.

It can affect the behavior of the cells of the body, the emotional state, the thoughts and images in the mind and the belief system. When done correctly, self-hypnosis can facilitate healing and wholeness on every level.

For purposes of doing this without a trained therapist or healer, we will start with the simplest of meditations:

First, get into a comfortable seated position. Close your eyes, then take several deep breaths – In through your nose, out through your mouth, while trying to simply clear your mind.

Try this 10 times and see how you are feeling. You should already be more relaxed and focused. If not, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Be patient with yourself.

Then as you get better with this, you can expand this by giving yourself a positive affirmation and focusing on your intention.

Always, as I mentioned earlier, it is best to work with a trained healer or psychotherapist to affect real change. Real expansion takes place with someone to guide you through your healing.

Plus, I have a very special way of putting EFT and Hypnosis together with even more amazing results! More about that later. We’ll get into that on Tuesday, November 3rd. Yes, Election Day and a super great way to go even deeper to transform your life with Special Assistance.
